"I Care for Animals" Car Tag Program
Caring for Mississippi's animals has never been so simple. Your purchase of an "I Care for Animals" car tag will help homeless,
injured and abused animals around the state. The fund supports spay/neuter and other animal welfare programs. Help us help them.

Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine
The Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine has had a cooperative program with Mississippi
animal shelters since the early 1990s. The entire cost of this educational and outreach effort is funded by
grants and donations, with no state appropriations, and no cost to taxpayers. Since 2008, the Shelter Medicine Program
has spayed and neutered over 70,000 animals throughout Mississippi. With the Mobile Units pictured below they are able to provide
this service to 27 animal shelters/rescue groups within Mississippi. The Senatobia-Tate Animal Shelter
is one of those benefiting from their services. The services provided helps shelter animals get the medical care
they need to be healthy and adoptable, while cutting down on unwanted litters. In addition, it gives the veterinary
students real experience doing spaying/nuetering and administering medicines.
